I've received KR3 attunement recently. But I found it a bit weird that for a healing session you only need to lay your hands on the shoulders for about 5 min??? The traditional Reiki session takes about 1,5 hour. Am I wrong with my statement ? Because I do not found the KR3 Reiki more powerfull than traditional Reiki.

Hello ther Malic,

I cant answer about the normal length of time for Kundalini but for Usui Reiki a "normal" session on a client will be any time from half an hour to one hour.  You can also give hands on shoulder boosts as well with Usui, as with all reiki whatever way feels good to you will be the best way for you to do it ;D

HI there Malic

I am not sure that time in the 'healing session' is actually too important in reality. As was brought out in another thread,'measurement of time' is a man made thing and very subjective. IN reality, I do not think that the length of time for the healing is really crucial however I am sure that it does make all concerned somewhat happier to take our time.

Personally, I like to take a while over mine but that is also for selfish reasons. I like the flow of energy when doing Kundalini work and the longer I get the warm fuzzies the better ;)

There are various manuals and I am sure various schools of thought on this. I am just not too sure that there is a right or a wrong.

Kundalini reiki is a totally different concept to Usui reiki. There are few rules and proceedures and I believe you simply adapt it to your own style. That's what I did anyway :)

Go with the flow, trust and it will work :D

Hi Malic,

The styles of Reiki do not predispose them to any specific strength in power.  Reiki is Reiki is Reiki.  You may be more comfortable working with one style over another and as a result might feel like it is stronger, but that will likely be due more to your confidence in that specific system.

The hardest part of Reiki is trusting it is there and doing what needs to be done.  The important thing to remember is that *you* are not doing the healing.  It is coming from the Source to the person wishing to receive it.  You are merely the object (channel) which the receiver needs to see/hear/feel to be aware of before they can accept Reiki.

No matter which system you are working with, believe that it is working whether you 'treat' for 10 minutes or several hours.  :)

With light and love,

Yup...good advice .... ;D
------------------------------------------------------------
The system of Usui Reiki does have time guidelines and suggestions. The manuels I have seen suggest between 30 minutes and 60 minutes.
The Kundalini Reiki manuels I have seen do say that treatments need only take 5 minutes.

I wonder if the difference could be because the power of intention is trusted more by the Reiki community since Usui was first starting to spread?

I agree that Source  is "doing the work" and we are channelling/witnessing...
and that makes me wonder if, because Source is timeless...perhaps the healing is actually instant... :o

This is merely pondering...not fact... ;)

Exactly Alley,
and it is so usefull.
When you do it the Usui way you will go allong all chakra's and when the flow is strong you know you have to stay there longer.
It is true that intention is the key, but I don't belief that we don't have to work for it.
In other words you should trust the energy, but not take it for granted.
You know water will still your thurst, but you still have to drink it!!

Especialy the one who are starting with reiki should practise with all the positions to learn the difference in flow. But although I am not a starter I am still learning a lot from each treatment.

With Kundalini reiki I do not have any experience so no opinion too :)

Hey Malic my dear... :)

I invite you to do this breathing practice everyday for two weeks to boost your ability to feel the energy.

click here to open.. Kundalini breathing practice

It helps you learn to feel and to move/direct energy..
being faithful to this practice is like walking on/creating a path across the lawn...
  • first day no path..
  • second day no path...
  • third day indentations showing where we walked..
  • forth day more visibal path...
  • fifth day path really starting to show...
  • and so on... ;D
You make the path, that allows the energy to flow and more importantly allows YOU to feel it... :)

Im new on this board and have just started reading the dicussions but this one grabbed me , i was attuned to  usui and kundelini  reiki about 5 years ago  . I started with the usui reiki and found it to be agentle energy to heal with , i used it frequently on my young son with amazing results , i have also used it on several very sick ( at deaths door) animals again with amazing results . i took the kundelini reiki attunments to help with self healing ( i have  medical issues and a few emotional ones that need work) .  When i started to use the kundelini i started to bleed (like menstruation) every time i used it . Literally with an hour or two of working on myself it started and every time i stopped doing my daily sessions the bleeding stopped this went on for a year . The doctors could not explain it . I took a break from reiki for over 6 months and had no problems in that time aside from feeling unwell. as soon as i resumed reiki the bleeding started , i returned to the doctors and an ovarian cyst was descovered this explained the bleeding.
I had an operation to remove it and have had no problems in that area since. During the time when i didnt know what was wrong with me i spoke to many reiki people who said i was wrong and there was no way reiki was causing this problem , but i belive it did . Maybe reiki brings attention to issues or medical problems that need dealing with maybe the reiki alone cannot heal everything but can make us aware of underlying problems so neccersary help can be sought. I have experienced a similar thing with my migraines again i was told doing reiki should not make me sick. I am now sure that my migraines are linked to my anxiety and stress and that the reiki brings up issues that i need to deal with and until i do i will continue to suffer from them.
i had a kundelini reattunment yesterday and it was amazing and very wonderfull experience i havent felt ill today . Last night i did a healing on my partner and he has called me from work to tell me he is feeling much better (emotionally and physically )and is ready to get back to his job properly , his confidence seems to have been boosted and he seemed much more relaxed and less anxious . I am happy for today i got what i asked for for him . The issue of asking for kundelini and recieveing it wiothout effort is one thats been an issue for me in the past , but i think its a matter of faith if u belive that it will come that belief maybe clears you as a channel to recieve it. I know if i ask but i doubt myself i dont tend to feel it as strongly , i think it still comes but that we are not in a frame of mind to accept it as a gift .

Dear Nattyone,

What an amazing story and what a great lesson in faith and believe in the Reiki energy.

I always tend to forget this believe at the moment I need the energy myself.
Thanx for reminding me.

Secondly: WELCOME
I hope you will like our little place full of energy :)

Welcome nattyone

Thanks for sharing your experiences...I am really pleased that you were guided by reiki to discover that cyst...as many say...Reiki doesn't give what you want , but what you need... ;)

I don't think reiki is "making " you sick with your migraines but perhaps is forcing you to focus on them so that you will discover the root cause...ie food sensitivity, stress....

I look forward to reading more rom you Nattyone...

Hello there Nattyone ;D

I reinforce what Alley has said, reiki will bring emotional and physical problems to the fore so that they can be attended to, whether by reiki or with conventional medicine ... or even better, conventional meds alongisde reiki to reduce side effects of drugs and just a general boost to help you system repair itself.

For the stress and strains why don't you meditate and focus on SHK?  That's the symbol to help with emotional problems ... try it, you'll never be wrong ;D

Hi all,

interesting thread, my spine is hot again ggg

i can confirm, that KR opens the pathway for the k. i received KR 1 - 3 in 2004 and it also was like coming through the feet and rising to the crown. i experienced no k awakening though. i knew it connects me with earth energies to work with KR. as others have already described, Usui enters through the crown and k through the feet. when i worked with usui i did not miss anything, but when i received KR i thought "thats it! that was missing: energy entering through the feet"
it dramatically enhanced my grounding. felt like i before only knew "grounding" in theory but had not really felt it.

concerning to the "just let happen and trust": i feel it alike - only to me it goes well together with "discipline".... for me the discipline is, giving it space and time in my daily life as i find it important to plan the things that matter to me. e.g. time for energy work. although i practice a lot when doing house work and so on, i like taking the time to ONLY do energy work and nothing else - so it can happen, what has to happen with my 100% attention. as energy follows the focus i find that most effective!

one of my favourite practices is the grounding meditation (to be found on www.kundalini-teacher.com). since i practiced this meditation for a while, it is easy to get grounded: breathing in and out - done!

my real k awakening (not dreaming and turning around while still dozing ggg) happened at the beginning of this year, when i received the "7 universal rays" from a k awakened person and the ascended masters (and myself ggg as I AM the source also).
it was not subtle at all and can not be compared to all energy work i´ve done before. i think working with "earth energies" has prepared me for that ( and KR was one of them, as well as dragonsoul)
it can not be forced and there is no guarantee it will work to awake and rise the k... one of my students did not feel it, so i guess she has to feed the fire and let go of blocks so the k can start to rise. i will recommend to her the breating exercises from ally - THANKS ALLY!
central issue for me in k work: surrender to it!!!!!!!!!! it can not be controlled.

i confess: since my k is awake, i no longer work with KR.  i prefer to be directly connected to myself instead via a "program" set up by ole....

love,

Ari

I use Kundalini a lot. Mainly long distance. It depends on how I feel if I use Usie or Kundalini on myself. Especially if I am hurting in one place I use Usie and boy does it ever feel good.

I think this statement epitomises my own position. Kundalini reiki was the catalyst for 'letting go.' I beileve that it has given me the right mindset and allow a closer connection through my own spirit and being

I am more interested in how strong your KR detox was (how bad, how good, for how long).

What did you do to make your KR detox bearable?

I have found some good info on Kundalini Crisis (how it happens) and how to make it less painful, stressful, etc ...
http://biologyofkundalini.com/article.php?story=CrisisManagement

The whole site is a must read IMO. These advices can be used for any energy detox (all has to be in order; body, mind and soul)
