Using crystals

Now that we started to discuss things that can help us with performing healing I thought there might be a place for crystals, too.
Those beautiful more or less colourful, more or less shiny and sparkling "stones" are great spirit-lifters for me.
 Some feel warm in your hand, some cold, some strong, some tender...
Some help you to communicate better with other people, some give you courage, some clusters load your jewelry with positive energy and clean other stones, some help you to develop your intuition, some help to meditate.
Laying correct stones to patient´s chackras help to spread energy evenly.
They are great gifts to friends when loaded with Reiki as they have a long  "memory" .

I am not a crystal lover as such but they are incredibaly powerful and if used with a pyramid is so powerful u can feel the effects as soon as u enter the area.

What you feel with crystals is their inherent quality and how they affect you. In India these are also used to balance the negative effects of planets also. Its an interesting thing based on ones horoscope. My birthstone is Ruby and i sometimes wear it. What kind of a feeling do u get if u hold a ruby?? It symbolises the sun so shud be warm at least

Another subject that I'm interested in.  When in the UK I purchased some beautiful crystals (singles, clusters and wands) and stones.  I recently got a book on how to use them too and I will once I've read up on it

I have some special ones in my reiki box -this beautiful like wand i got in the himalayas in india.
I found a tiny crystal in the garden the other day its a reddish clour so i feel it is for my base chakra.

in start u have to ba aware what are u doing have to be friendly
u could make lil paper with colours of chakra on it
for example
black-red
orange
yelow
green-rose
blue
purple
white

and then ask pendulum what is color that i have litllr?
ask what do u have much?
find double term clear q and relive more energy or co;or if u have
if u have not enough orange u could use carnelia,maybe or something similar
if yu have too much blue u can bring it to lower parts maybe....
and so on

u should be aware too what crystals are u using and how long u can do harm too yourself
if not doing it properly
for example Dan says his birthstone is ruby ,and it may be truth if we do horoscope or check with pendulum
ruby can do harm same as bleu saphire or topaz or even clear quartz that every one says it is ok
even diamon can greatly harm one
and it is not that they are girls best friend in only few months they can took all of someone happines and luck

I am quite sceptical about those horoscope fortune stones. Different sources give different stones, to start with. And there ia more in horoscope than just a sun-sign. For instance I am a Scorpio Sun but the ascendent is Sagittarius.
I think better choose a stone by its qualities. I have a sodalite which, when I hold it on my palm, activates my third eye. If there are problems with reproductional organs, carry a carnelian in your pocket.
For good dreams I have a lapiz lazuli with all shining stars inside.

of course it is stupid to read horoscope from newspapers or to choose stone like that from your horoscope so
what i wanna to say if u r rising sagitarius u should now where was jupiter placed in your natal and then to see combination anyway for sure u should have to where citrin or topaz and in combination with placement of jup in natal maybe some other or to put it some metal if it is maybe in libra in copper...
and so on
it is nice to where them all if u know what are u doing...

crystals are inteligent,somehow and of course alive
but if u are using some color that u do not need in the same time u r to say humiliating another so as u have planets that are not so friendly one with another u have colors that can be not friendly too
it is totaly individual
and according to your horoscope
it seems to me that is the way how horoscope works
becouse all of those planets have they influence tru material stone ,metal which are the reprasentation of them and in mment of our births they have individual relations
so of course u know that is not only about crystals it is about, flesh, blood,lympha and bones
so,bones are saturn in natal horoscope
liver is for example by jupiter represented and so on ...
so we should wear and use crystals by purpose...they can develop us and gives us great gifts

but we should know how to treat them too
not just to use them
so it is good to wash them ,some of them to put on sun(not ametist neither black tourmaline) some of them to put on full moon to get energies
also we should do that on proper day BUT whenever we care about them it is good
also it is good from time to time to put then in 8/10 sea salt and 2/10 pure water over night....
also those xehupatl.cpm attunement in crystals are realy good and when u put ethereal c.in stone it works just fine

I personally clean my crystals with running cold water and dry them in Sun or Moon. But it is also possible to clean them just with intent- you hold them on your palm and ask them to be self-cleaning. Reiki symbols will also do it.
It is true that some crystals lose colour in the Sun.
But I like watching the rainbows in my citrine- it has small fractures inside and they form rainbows in the Sun  
About salt- there are many different oppinions about it. One is that we torture our crystals with salt and spoil them. I don´t know what is right and I won´t risk harming them.
I rememer how, where and when I bought every single one of them and I love them dearly.

Here's something I got off the net.

When you buy a crystal, one of the first things you need to do is clean it. An ideal way is to place the crystal under the cold tap and turn the water on so it flows over the stone/s and down the plug hole, this will take out the impurities and leave the stone clean and revitalised. Another way is to leave it on a sunny windowsill and let the suns light cleanse it.

A good way of checking the stone is to dowse it, hold the dowser/pendulum over the crystal and see what happens, the pendulum should pick up a clockwise swing, if the crystal is dirty then it could be a slow or a small swing. Cleanse the stone and check again, there should be a noticeable difference in the energy of the stone.

Good ideas!

I have to share a story here.  My niece has a crystal ball.  She wanted to do the crystal in the sun cleansing on it.  So she put it outside, in the sun on a placemat so the bottom wouldn't get scratched.  She then went about her daily tasks and later in the day went to get it.  She was so surprised when she picked it up.  The placemat had a burn hole in it!    Needless to say after that anytime she put any crystals or her crystal ball out for cleansing in the sun she always checked them regularly.

Hey JS,

An easier way to charge crystals is to do it with reiki  Just hold it in your hand and ask that negative energies be released to mother earth through the roots you have put down then send it a burst of reiki  About 10-15 mins is usually good

Dear Featherpoint,

does Your niece use the crystal ball for divination? I have no crystal ball....yet.....
but I have a clear quartz cluster which is good for cleaning other crystals. Or jewelry. As the cluster has several points the energy moves between them. Just place your earrings on  it for night!

It's funny really.  My niece is incredibly psychic, when she wants to be.  It has frightened her in the past, and she shut it down for the longest time. She started 'seeing' things when she was only about 3 years old.  The crystal ball was given to her as a gift when she was in her teens trying to figure out what all this 'psychic stuff' was all about.  I think the general thought was that if she could see these things in the ball, it would be less frightening than seeing them in the room right beside her.  But the funny part is she couldn't let go enough to "see" in the crystal ball.  But she still "sees" things around her, if she let's it in.

It's all in letting go.

oh, I remembered one more useful thing-
 
chakras can be activated with a crystal. I usually use a pointed citrine.
Start drawing circles with the crystal around chakras one by one, starting from 1st .
Begin with bigger circle, doing smaller and smaller circles towards the chakra. When you feel warmth, move on to next chakra.

An other crystal lover here  
I use crystals very often in fact I wear a crystal all the time for my underactive thyroid
I also keep crystals in my purse and jeans pockets and about the house to keep it safe. And I use crystals in my massage room to keep it cleansed of negative energies.  

I give my hole family a crystal for Christmas and they have reported great things.  

During the summer a colleague of mine was telling me that since her bad break up with her partner she has had steady nightmares.  When I went back to my sit I was thinking of her a lot because she has been through a really bad time and was really down and as I sat I remembered that I had purchased a rose quarts crystal the day before so I charged it full of reiki and the next time I was passing her desk I stopped and give her the crystal and told her to wear it for a week,  thats all I said to her and she did it.  She hasn't had a dream about her ex partner since and she looks and feels like a different person.  I was so happy that I could help her in some way.
