Ann,
I am so sorry this question has gone un-answered...
I kept waiting for someone that might know about this as I do not....

So when you have figured it out (listen to your intuition) please let me know about it...
also what is it made of??? I am curious... ;D

Hi Ann,

I've also been waiting for someone else to guide us on this, especially as I've just bought a clear quartz reiki wand and a rose quartz reiki wand.  Guess I'd better get out there and do some more research  ;)

I am somewhat new too Reiki as I have only 2 years expirince and was taught Native American healing and laying of the hands as well first.  In the time of my earlier training I had been told :
1. Listen to your intuition
(listen to your intuition)
Trust in your healing to guide you to what is right.
I had the expirience of using a piece of oak as a wand to heal a man whos totem spirit sat on the branch of an oak tree.  He said afterward he felt more connected to his true self, his spirit self.  I use various crystals as a wand for self healing, for different pains and aches.
I suggest you begin by cleansing the wand in the moonlight with black sand if available to you, if not salt and water, sage or whatever herbs you feel are sacred to you for cleansing.
Once the wand has been cleansed, pray with it, honor the wand for it's purpose in life and ask the wand to allow you to place Reiki energy in it.
Once you have done that place the wand in the sunlight in a space that is white, allow the wand to rest for as long as your intuition tells you is appropriate.  Then I would initiate the wand by using it in a self healing.
Please share how you have used it.  If you choose to use any of my offerings please share the expirience.
Blessings in light.

Thank you silverstar

I also have a rose quartz, clear quartz and ametrine wands.  I was never sure what to do with them.  I do use the smaller ametrine wand as my master crystal in my crystal grid.  I have tried with the other 2 but keep coming back to the ametrine.

Alley that link looks really interesting, cant wait to get my teeth into it.

Love val x

I have an quartz crystal, rose crystal and amethyst crystal. I use it regularly. When I use quartz crystal  I usally dont know is it working or not,but my hands just gets very hot.For Eg: if i have an back ache and use the crystal , my hand gets hot and don't feel anything, but pain reduces considerably after i stop giving it , that indicates crystal works.don't worry if u don't feel anything , if u have cleansed it properly then use it even though u don't feel anything it works but u never know  how it works  even though u dont feel anything it will work.May be u r not very sensitive with energy. I am  not sensitive with energy but i have faith in reiki it will work.Just experiment on friends or family if they have pain u give reiki with crystal u may find result or use it on urself. When I first used the crystal my instinct said me just hold it and visualize the reiki is flowing through the crystal.Dont worry if u dont feel  .Just have an intention thats it.It will work according to my experience. My experience while doin reiki is just have an intention and trust ur guide and personal instinct .It will work even if u dont know if it works or not.
