Cuts, inclusions, etc.

Hello,

Does anyone find that cuts, inclusions, or other "dinks" hinder the effect or power of a crystal or stone? Most of the crystals in my collection have cuts or other things, but it doesn't seem like it hinders the effect. I bought several quartz yesterday, and they're far from perfect, so I hope the same goes for them. ;D

Hi Sage,

I've never found it to be a problem.  I know some people prefer their crystals to be as "perfect" as possible but I always find myself drawn to the ones with little idiosynchrosies (did I spell that right? You know what I mean  ;)) - they're so much more interesting.  For me they represent us, as human beings, who are all less than perfect and have our funny little ways, but are each wonderfully valid in our own way.  How boring if everything was perfect  :P

I also am drawn to crystals and stones because of their energy rather than their perfection...

Is life perfect?  Are we perfect? 

Will the effect of it be less if it is not perfect? 

I think not my friend :) 

Perfection is something that some people must have!  It makes no difference whether a crystal is perfection or it has a few dents ;)

Work with them, get to know them.   Perhaps one that is a little more ugly to the eye will be the one that helps you the most :)

Some people thing that little cuts and dents will stop the energy flow, but I think that you should pick out quartz based on how they feel to you. Nothings perfect : P
