21-day Chakra Clearing?

I'm becoming attracted to the idea of getting distant attunements because I have very little money to spare. However, I was given advice by someone with quite a bit of experience and she said that we should wait at least 21 days between levels in order for the 21-day chakra clearing to take place.

Is that really necessary? I'm getting the feeling from reading this board that many of you don't even see a distinction between the levels, or at least don't feel it necessary to progress through them. Is that right? Do we need to be attuned to Level I, then II, then Master, or should we go directly to Master?

If we skip levels, what about this chakra clearing thing?

Also, and this should really be a different topic, if our first attunement isn't in person, how do we learn to do Reiki? Do we simply intend for it to flow and it will flow?

Welcome to the forum   it is xmas eve and i have been drinking its the wifes fault  

i will do my best to answer your questions, replies from other people on this forum are welcome  

I can put your mind at rest on the distant attunements issue, i have had both in person plus distant attunements and they are they are in power, example what you feel the same, if you pay for any attunement it will not be any stronger or better than a free one.

The 21 day chakra cleansing, clearing I do agree with, some people have attunements to Usui Reiki one week, and have attunements to other reiki flavours the next week and so on, in my opinion they should learn and work hard with one healing energy system  b4 trying another one.

Usui Reiki Attunements, and levels in my opinion it would not do you any harm to be attuned to all three levels in one attunement, but it is possible with a lot of energy flowing through your body that you may have mood swings, headaches feeling great one day and lousy another day, there is no golden or set rule it depends on the person recieving the attunement, reiki does bring any issues you have to the surface what we have to do is deal with them and let them go, Reiki will help but we have to do the work, so my advice would be if you don't want changes in your life you don't want reiki, it is not just about healing it is about spiritual growth.

We all have Reiki in this life and previous lives its just dormant, all masters, teachers do is connect you to the energy some of us beleive that only one Usui Reiki attunement is all you need ? but please bear in mind that Nitya and i have been doing reiki for many years and that what we say in our posts is only our opinion.

This planet and its people need more healers, we don't have time for the old ways of waiting one year or more for people to be attuned to the reiki master/ teacher level and having to pay huge sums of money.

Your last question how do we learn to do reiki if our first attunement is distant, Do we simply intend for it to flow and it will flow ? yes you are spot on its is by our intent, you will also find links for all three Usui Reiki Manuals on this forum.

Thanks for the reply! I definitely want change in my life. In fact, the reason I'm even interested in Reiki in the first place is that changes have already been taking place. My life has taken a rather dramatic turn in this direction over the past couple of months, mostly because of a couple of life events plus a few books that I've read. Throw in a few synchronicities and new acquaintances and you've got the recipe for some spiritual change.  :-)

I've had a couple of distant Reiki and Healing Touch sessions but I've never had an attunement. Is there a general concensus at all on this forum about which attunement to get first?

In other words, should I start out with a Usui Reiki attunement? Or Karuna? Or Tera-mai? Threshold? And once I have that figured out, is there any agreement on how many levels to be attuned for at first? I'm sure this depends on the person being attuned. For some, I would guess that Level I is best; others might be able to do I and II at once, and perhaps some might get all three at once.

For myself, I think I'd be able to handle at least I and II at the same time, but I'm not sure about getting a master attunement at the same time. I'll have to ponder that one.  :-)

Hmm....it's 11:04 Mountain time. I wonder if I can find anyone up for doing a late-night attunement?  heh heh...

Hi...I have only been attuned by distance. As Mickuk says most everyone agrees on the fact that they are both good. I was attuned in Sept. to all three levels and I was lucky enough to have joined in with a group where the woman was doing a singulatr attunement on Christmas day. I went ahead and did the attunement again not because I  felt I didn't receive it the first time but because I have come to know the woman through the group and have felt a warm, loving energy from her...So she did it again...I was a little worried about the cleansing process but you know what? Once you are on the path, and it sounds like you are, spiritually you are constantly cleansing any way...you are going to go through the same feelings as if you were were attuned. As the light works it's way through your thought process you are going to clear out the gunk and clutter...you are going to look back on your life, the regrets the whatever and deal with it because you want to be the person you were meant to be...Make sense??...so what I'm trying to say is go ahead and do a three level singular attunement, start with one Reiki...Usui Reiki, i would suggest...download your manuals( Link to Free Usui Reiki Manuals All 3 Levels, check "General Discussion" Board)  and go at your pace...Reiki is gentle and will work with you...It will not overwhelm you...you start with the daily self treatment...pictures are in the manual... And  live by the precepts :do not anger, do not worry, work honestly, Honor yourself and others, be grateful....I use these five but add to them a bit and I repeat them through the day.  Also there are quite a few of good Reiki groups out there...If you'd like a list to different groups You can email me off site and I'd be happy to send them to you...Welcome to Reiki...Mickuk and Nitya have years of experience and there are others that post with good advice as well...Happy learning...Blessings    jeanie
