does distance attuning work ???????

Over the past couple of years i have contacted many different masters re reiki attunements by distance, this has been the only way i can afford to become attuned both in time and in money, however on recieving level 1. 2 or 3 masters i never experienced any feelings / connection or recieved feed back from those masters - on reading several books i glean that you would nornmally experience someting - but to have experienced nothing has left me feeling very disillusioned.
My aim in using reiki was to be able to use it wihin my work as a mental health worker and i obviously need to be competent and certificated to practice can any one advise me of  a master who would attune me ......

This is a tough situation...because I do believe in and know that reiki works...
and I do believe in and know that distance attunements works...

What an attunement does is open you up to be able to act as a channel for the energy.

The bells and whistles are so dependent on the "sensitivity" of the individual. 
They are not proof of attunement.

The only real proof is in doing the work.  Practicing

I've had attunements by distance and in person.  I can vouch that the distance does work, I got the same sensations and feelings in both styles.

As Alley says, its all down to working with the energy.  The more you work with it the better you become aware of it and how it is working within you.

It Is perfectly normal to feel nothing or percieve nothing, this is something over which you should not pend another second wondering.
I for One have and do not feel much, You are not alone in having doubts or questions.

Using Reiki to Help Others is a Great Idea. I'm Sure your profession sets you up well to perform Reiki.

I actually didn't feel anything when I was attuned to distant Reiki but I know it worked. I have been doing self treatments, I feel it in my hands I also done absentia treatments and I know that it helped them.
