Broken crystal
« on: January 04, 2006, 04:47:41 AM »
:'( I "had" a beautiful fluorite crystal which I quite liked to look at whilst working at my desktop, I had it placed in front of the monitor.

Last week I picked it up to clean it and it fell to the floor, broken into two small and one large piece.  I now have the feeling that I should throw it away but I've never discarded a crystal before.  Should I listen to my inner self and just put it in the bin or should I keep all three pieces "just because"?

Hmmmmmmmmm ???

Sorry to hear about your crystal, that really sucks.

To answer your question I would follow my instinct and intuition. You don't have to throw it away, but perhaps give the pieces away to friends or something. I am a firm believer that these crystals and stones come into our lives for a reason and will stay for as long as we 'need' them.  At that time they will get lost, disappear or break.
Perhaps this one has fulfilled his purpose for being with you and you no longer need that one.

I would hate to see you throw it away tho and so I suggest giving the pieces away if you decide you don't want to keep them...

Just me thoughts!  Hope they helped.

Sincerely
Tamara

Hello Jen

You could look at it this way.. If it was still part of the earth like a stone or rock and it fell or a boulder dropped on it, it would break and  there wouldnt be anyone feeling sad because the stone broke.  The break just creates more crystals but smaller ones.

You do have a broken crystal but it has now divided and you can share your beautiful crystal with others, give them a boost of reiki and pass them on.

Well I hope that helped, I have no idea where that came from.. it just popped into my head

Love Val xx

Hi Jenn....
Sorry to hear of your broken crystal.
I personally don't think you should just bin them...
My first thought would be to bury them (as Sumer suggested) if you feel the need to give them up.  A ceramony returning them to the mother would be nice.
Or you could wrap the small pieces in a small piece of cloth and place them in a small bag and use them or carry them in your pocket.
Or maybe you should put them in your watertank for the frogs.

I never thought of burying them in the soil...that is an excellent idea!

Thanks guys for the suggestions/advice,

I'm going to wait a few days, leaving them where they always were and let the decision come to me as such.

I must say I particularly like the thought of charging them with reiki and passing them on, and the burying......Alley, the frogs would not appreciate such a gift so that is out of the question :)

Tanks a lot ;D

Jenn,
I have also always believed that crystals come to us when needed and will leave or break when they are no longer needed.  Intuition will tell you when they are no longer needed or if it broke for a different reason.  I agree with Sumer, I always bury my stones when I'm done with them and say a prayer thanking them for coming to assist me and return them to the earth.  I definately wouldn't just throw them away.

I agree with everyone :D

I had a moonstone ring where the stone cracked in two. Just to spite it, i'm keeping it ;D

Bury it.
Thats what i'm getting.
Return it to the soil, to our Mother.
When you move to Canada maybe, put her in your garden if you dont feel the pull to place it where you are :)

but definately bury it.  :)

all my love,
