Teaching reiki problem

I have been teaching Reiki for about 2 years now and have attuned about 10 Reiki I students, with great success.  However, I have recently had a student come to me who after the 1st attunement said she felt very low and depressed a couple of days after the attunement.  She had her 2nd attunement, and said that she felt quite well and up beat when she left.  However at our next meeting she said that after a few days she had felt even worse than the week before and didn't want to continue the process any further.
She had spoken to another Reiki Master who had told her that there must be something wrong with the energy (I presume she meant my energy), but I have been attuning another student at the same time without this happening.

As I have never come across this before, and I am unable to contact my Reiki Master for advice at this time (due to ill health) I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. 

I hope that someone maybe able to help as I am quite concerned about this.

I would never suggest something wrong with your energy; as long as you attune with good intention (I'm sure you do:) )
Sounds like your student is experiencing major emotion detox thanks to reiki!!!  She should work on using reiki to heal her emotional detox.  Other then daily self treatment she should focus on good health (drink lots of water), physical activities (walking in nature) Spirituality (is there a lesson to be learned) when a person focus on all it will help speed up the detox process. 
Reiki will never harm, and with each attunemet and treatment a person releases another Layer; so with all this celebrate another layer releasing and closer to your true divine purpose!!
Maybe if we all send her some reiki to the heart chakra, could help

Hi Unicorn.  That was my thought as well that she had things to deal with.  However, when I suggested this she was adamant that she hadn't got anything that she needed to deal with and that she had no issues that needed sorting.  I would have liked her to carry on with the training, but as the Reiki Masters she had been in touch with had told her to stop immediately, there was no way I was going to  change her mind.
I always ask for the attunement to be given for the highest and greatest good, and I have also dedicated myself to the Light, but if you could check my energies I would be very grateful to you.
Thank you for your time and imput in this query, it has totally thrown me.

Hi Naropa

It was the 2nd attunement on Reiki I.  She is a very sensitive person and perhaps this is why this has happened.  I do expect this with Reiki II and I prepare my students for this, but have never come across it in Reiki I.

 When i  was about to get attuned i got sick so i had to do it one week later .After my 1 level attunement i had blood coming out of my nose (sinuses) for about 3 days. I went to rendgen my head.¸They didnt find nothing that could be wrong. After i stop bleading there was stil some kind of water driping out of my nose for 10 or more days . But i didnt feel realy bad, there were just this simptoms .
I continued to do my self healing and I got Ok

I think that processes like this are normal because you start to detox.

Maybe she just needs time....(fear of the energy?)  She can be detoxing past life emotional issues and not realize it.  Anne I wouldn't worry to much about it; just send her love and healing; and time will tell..
I had my first level attunement of the Usui Master Level on Sunday and I tell you what I have been the biggest cry baby!!  I shed a lot of emotion after attunements; and they seem to get easier everytime, plus I have learn to use Reiki to help my healing..  It takes time and trusting in yourself.
Have you every journeyed?  Maybe journey on this situation?  All just suggestions:)

Thnak you all so much for your replies, I feel so much better having the confirmation from you all that it is a healing crisis and that my thoughts and theories on this matter are correct.  I feel its a shame that my student wont continue on her training, perhaps in time tho she may decide to try again.
Thank you Levie for checking my energies I think you may be right that she isn't the right student for me, or even vice versa.
