you tube attunements

hi everybody. peace love and blessings to you. my question relates to some you tube and intention attunements. i  recieved attunements a number of years ago via the net. for 3 days i had a release of sorrow following and incredible sensitivity to others. so i know i recieved the attunement successfully. ~still am incredibly sensitive~ although im not sure how to consider the generous and kind attunements that are available on you tube... or those that are intention based where it tells you to say a particular intention and that the energy has been prepared by a particular person and to await the 'chiball'. i dont doubt its effectiveness. i realise  that energy has no time space limitations. only i guess id like to know how others feel about this and perhaps someone with more experience might understand this at a deeper level.

Some here on SRI will not be surprised by me saying this but let me put it this way 

I believe that attunemnts do not work at all as we are thought they do. Attunments are nothing more but a blessing, wishing you all the best in working with the One and Only Universal Ki energy.
This attunment or blessing is of no use if we don't know how to generate energy and keep the energy flow constant. This requires proper teachings, proper techniques (believe it or not  ) One is to work on one self and share with others.
Western Reiki in particular (I feel) is missing some very crucial teachings when it comes to generating Ki energy and relies on spirit guides, reiki guides and what not, for Rei Ki to be sent hwre it is needed the most.

I believe that Mikao Usui had it all right but that his teachings got lost along the way (for some reason, we know not which).

I am attuned distantly and I wish I have done it in person. In person one guest the chance to share Reiki with others at the seminar and this is (I believe) a very crucial and very important moment in ones Reiki path. Such experience you don't get over the Youtube or distantly.
Distant attunments are not Usui Reiki, maybe some other styles of Reiki but not the Usui one

yeh so true. i have been attuned distantly, i believe it all reached me as expected. only the teachings cannot be sent. they must be learnt. i do use my guides and angels...and always have.... and when i teach reiki i definitely accentuate on this.
