Hello All,

My name is Julie.  I am a 30 year old mother to two little girls, my miracle Kylie(8 yr old), and my new baby Kashera.

I first discovered Reiki January 2004 completely by chance.  I was playing around online looking at different alternate healing types and decided to close my eyes, click one link and learn about that one.  I had been having several health and mental problems at the time and the doctors couldn't tell me what was wrong and just kept drugging me up.  Anyway I clicked on Reiki and never looked back.  It just felt right to me.  I talked to several masters and clicked right away with one.  Went for a session and knew this was for me.  A month later I received my first attunement. 

Reiki has helped me to overcome a "victim mentality".  It helped me to grow into my own person, helped me get out of a mentally abusive relationship, and helped me overcome most of my health problems as well.

I found SRI when looking for help for my friends daughter and I joined immmediately.  I was overcome by the warmth and caring I found here.  I then went on to get my Reiki II and finally did my level III by distance.  I have also learned a few other modalities, but Usui, for me is first and the basis of all else I do.  I am also very into crystals and enjoy growing and using herbs.

I love this place and think of it as my online family.  I have met so many incredable people here and learned so much as well.

I am still excited to have been asked to become a board moderator.  SRI is like home to me and I will do anything I can to help keep it a special place.
